Ingredients of tamarind candy
- 1 cup seedless tamarind
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp corn syrup
- 1.5 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
Methods
- Firstly take a bowl and add seedless tamarind, warm water in the bowl and soak that tamarind for 1 hour.
- Then blend that soaked tamarind with a blender.
- Then strain that tamarind pulp with a sieve.
- Then take a saucepan and add sugar,4 tbsp water, corn syrup in the saucepan, and cook it very well until the sugar melted.
- When the sugar is melted, then add that tamarind pulp, chili powder, salt in it.
- Then cooked very well until that liquid tamarind mixture become thick consistency.
- Lastly, cool down that thick tamarind mixture and put it on plastic spoons.
