Afghani Soup Recipe

Afghani people eat soup a lot that’s why they make and eat different types of soup. The soup Afghani people make are – vegetable soup, chicken soup, beef soup, lamb soup, corn soup, barley soup, rice soup, lentil soup, noodles soup, flour soup and fruit soup. Afghani people eat soup both in the summer and winter seasons. Besides they eat soup in the holy Ramadan month as an Iftar dish. Some soup is eaten with bread and some soup is not eaten with bread. So the Afghani soup recipe is-

  1. Potato ( 1 )
  2. Carrot ( 1 )
  3. Bell pepper ( 2 )
  4. Canned sweet corn ( 1 )
  5. Spinach ( 100 gram )
  6. Green peas ( 1 cup )
  7. Coriander leaves ( 1/2 cup )
  8. Onion ( 1 )
  9. Garlic cloves ( 5 )
  10. Sunflower oil ( 1/2 cup )
  11. Tomato puree ( 2 tbsp )
  12. Turmeric ( 1 tsp )
  13. Chilli powder ( 1 tbsp )
  14. Ground black pepper ( 1.5 tbsp )
  15. Vermicelli pasta ( 1 cup )
  16. Water ( 8 cup )
  17. Salt ( 1 tbsp or as your taste )
  • Firstly, cut the onion, potato, carrot, bell pepper, spinach, and coriander leaves into small pieces.
  • Then, crush the garlic cloves.
  • Then, put the sunflower oil, onion, crushed garlic cloves, potato, carrot, green peas, tomato puree, turmeric, chili powder, ground black pepper in the pan and cook it for 3 minutes.
  • Then, add the water, salt to the pan and cook it for 7 minutes.
  • Then, add the spinach, canned sweet corn, bell pepper and coriander leaves to the pan and cook it for 10 minutes.
  • Then, add the vermicelli pasta to the pan and cook it until the pasta is cooked perfectly.
  • Lastly, serve this delicious and healthy vegetable Afghani soup.

Afghani Chicken Soup Recipe

Afghani chicken soup is eaten in the Ramadan month. So the recipe of this dish is-

  1. Chicken breast pieces ( 6 )
  2. Carrot ( 2 )
  3. Bell pepper ( 2 )
  4. Cabbage ( 100 gram )
  5. Onion ( 3 )
  6. Button mushroom ( 200 grams )
  7. Egg ( 2 )
  8. Turmeric powder ( 1/2 tsp )
  9. Cornstarch powder ( 3 tbsp )
  10. Ground black pepper ( 2 tbsp )
  11. Soy sauce ( 4 tbsp )
  12. Water ( 10 cups ) ( for cooking )
  13. Salt ( 1.5 tbsp or as your taste )
  • Firstly, cut the carrots, bell pepper, cabbage, onion, and button mushroom into small pieces.
  • Then, put the cornstarch powder and a little bit of water in the bowl and mix it very well.
  • Then, put the chicken breast pieces, carrot, bell pepper, cabbage, onion, button mushroom, turmeric powder, ground black pepper, soy sauce, water, salt in the pan and cook it for 10 minutes.
  • Then, take the chicken pieces out of the pan.
  • Then, remove the bones from the chicken and shred the chicken.
  • Then, add the shredded chicken and cornstarch water mixture to the pan and mix it very well with a wooden spatula.
  • Then, again add the egg white to the pan and cook it for 5 minutes.
  • Lastly, serve this hot and delicious Ramadan Afghani soup.

Afghani Omach Recipe

Afghani omach is an Afghani flour soup. So the recipe of this flour soup is-

  1. All purpose flour ( 1 cup )
  2. Spinach ( 200 gram )
  3. Onion ( 3 )
  4. Garlic cloves ( 4 )
  5. Sunflower oil ( 1/2 cup )
  6. Turmeric ( 1 tsp )
  7. Ground black pepper ( 1.5 tbsp )
  8. Water ( 8 cups ) ( for cooking )
  9. Water ( 1/2 cup )
  10. Salt ( 1 tbsp or as your taste )
  • Firstly, cut the spinach and garlic cloves into small pieces.
  • Then, crush the garlic cloves.
  • Then, put the all purpose flour in the bowl.
  • Then, add the 1/2 cup water little by little to the flour and mix it very well with your hand.
  • Then, rub the all purpose flour with your hand and keep it aside.
  • Then, put the sunflower oil, onion, crushed garlic cloves, spinach in the pan and cook it for 3 minutes.
  • Then, add the turmeric powder, ground black pepper, water, salt to the pan and cook it for 10 minutes.
  • Then, add the rubbed flour to the pan and cook it for 7 minutes.
  • Lastly, serve this healthy Afghani omach.
