Moroccan Seafood Paella Recipe

Paella is a one-pot rice, seafood or chicken and vegetables dish. It is mainly a Spanish dish and it is one of the most popular dish in Spain. But this dish cook many countries in their own methods. So we provided a moroccan seafood paella recipe that will help Moroccan people to cook seafood paella.

Ingredients

  1. Basmati rice ( 2 cups)
  2. Water ( 4 cups)
  3. Medium squid (2)
  4. Jumbo shrimps ( 20)
  5. Olive oil ( 1 cup)
  6. Onions (2)
  7. Garlic (1)
  8. Sweet paprika ( 1 tsp)
  9. Ground black Pepper ( 1 tsp)
  10. Bay leaves (2)
  11. Moroccan seasoning ( 1 tsp)
  12. Saffron powder ( 1/2 tsp)
  13. Tomatoes (2)
  14. Green peas ( 1/2 cup)
  15. Bell pepper ( 1)
  16. Tomato paste ( 4 tbsp)
  17. Fish stock cubes (2 cubes)
  18. Salt ( 1 and 1/2 tsp or as our taste)
  19. Parsley ( 2 tbsp)
  20. Lemon

Methods

  • Firstly, cut squid, onions, tomatoes, bell pepper, and parsley into small pieces.
  • Then, mince the garlic.
  • Then, wash the basmati rice 3 times.
  • Then, put olive oil, onion, garlic, squid, shrimps, sweet paprika, black pepper, bay leaves, tomatoes, tomato paste, fish stock cubes, salt and moroccan seasoning in the pan and fry it for 5 minutes.
  • Then, remove the shrimps from the pan and place them in a bowl and keep the bowl aside.
  • Then, add water, basmati rice, saffron, green peas, parsley and bell pepper to the pan.
  • Then, stir all the ingredients with a wooden spatula and cook it for 5 minutes on high heat.
  • Then, cover the lid of the pan and cook it for 10-15 minutes on low heat. When the rice will be cooked perfectly and the water will be dried fully, then the Moroccan seafood paella will be finished cooking.
  • Lastly, serve the Moroccan seafood paella with shrimps and lemon.
