Arsiya Recipe

Arsiya is a famous dish in UAE and Oman. It is also called ersiya . It is made with rice, chicken and spice. This dish is eaten at different types of events. So we provided an Emariti arsiya recipe. That is-

  1. Basmati rice ( 2 cups )
  2. Egyptian white rice ( 2 cups )
  3. Chicken breast pieces ( 6 )
  4. Onion ( 4 ) ( 2 for frying and 2 for cooking )
  5. Ghee ( 1 cup )
  6. Ground black pepper ( 1 tbsp )
  7. Water ( 11 cups )
  8. Salt ( 2 tbsp or as your taste )
  • Firstly, cut the onions into small pieces.
  • Then, fry the onion with the ghee and salt and fry it until the onion becomes brown color.
  • Then, put the basmati rice, Egyptian white rice, chicken breast pieces, water in the pan and cook it for 10 minutes.
  • Then, remove the cooked chicken breast pieces from the pan and shred the chicken.
  • Then, add the onion, shredded chicken breast pieces, ground black pepper, salt to the pan and cook it until the rice and onion are cooked perfectly.
  • Then, mash the cooked rice with a potato masher.
  • Lastly, serve this arsiya with fried onion.

Note: We have to stir in the middle of the cooking.

Omani Arsiya Recipe

Omani arsiya is eaten with an Omani sauce ( Tarsha ). So the recipe of the Omani arsiya is-

  1. Basmati rice ( 3 cups )
  2. Chicken breast pieces ( 5 )
  3. Garlic cloves ( 3 )
  4. Cardamom powder ( 1 tsp )
  5. Ground black pepper ( 1 tsp )
  6. Ghee ( 2 tbsp )
  7. Water ( 9 cups )
  8. Salt ( 1 tbsp or as your taste )
  • Firstly, put the basmati rice, chicken breast pieces, garlic cloves, water in the pan and cook it for 10 minutes.
  • Then, remove the cooked chicken breast pieces from the pan and shred the chicken.
  • Then, add the shredded chicken breast pieces, cardamom powder, ghee, salt, ground black pepper to the pan and cook it until the rice is cooked perfectly.
  • Then, mash the cooked rice with a potato masher.
  • Lastly, serve this healthy arsiya with ghee.

Note: We have to stir in the middle of the cooking.

Vegan Arsiya Recipe

Vegan dieters can not eat this dish because some ingredients of this dish are not appropriate for vegan dieters. So we provided a vegan arsiya recipe for that reason vegan dieters can eat this dish.

  1. Basmati rice ( 3 cups )
  2. Button mushroom ( 500 grams )
  3. Garlic cloves ( 3 )
  4. Bay leaves ( 2 )
  5. Cardamom powder ( 1 tsp )
  6. Ground black pepper ( 1 tbsp )
  7. Cinnamon powder ( 1 tsp )
  8. Water ( 9 cups )
  9. Vegan ghee or Vegan butter ( 3 tbsp )
  10. Salt ( 1 tbsp or as your taste )
  • Firstly, cut the button mushrooms into small pieces.
  • Then, put the basmati rice, garlic cloves, water in the pan and cook it for 10 minutes.
  • Then, add the button mushroom, cardamom powder, cinnamon powder, bay leaves, ground black pepper, vegan ghee, salt to the pan and cook it until the rice and mushrooms are cooked perfectly.
  • Then, mash the cooked rice with a potato masher.
  • Lastly, serve this healthy and delicious vegan arsiya with vegan ghee.

Note: We have to stir in the middle of the cooking.
