Egyptian Drink Moghat Recipe

Moghat is an Egyptian ancient drink that is made with moghat root powder, milk, sugar and dry fruits. This drink has a lot of benefits. It strengthens the bones of our bodies. So Egyptian maternity mothers drink it after child birth for strengthening their bones. It also increases the energy of our bodies and prevents constipation. So the Egyptian beneficial drink moghat recipe is-

  1. Moghat powder ( 4 tbsp )
  2. Ghee ( 5 tbsp )
  3. Hot water (1/2 cup )
  4. Hot cow milk ( 3 cups )
  5. Sugar ( 4 tbsp or as your taste )
  6. Raisins ( 1 tbsp )
  7. Peanuts ( 50 gram )
  8. Shredded coconut ( 3 tbsp )
  • Firstly, roast the peanuts for 3 minutes.
  • Then, grind the roasted peanuts with a grinder.
  • Then, put the ghee, moghat powder in the pan and cook it for 2 minutes.
  • Then, add the hot water, hot cow milk , sugar, ground peanuts to the pan and cook it for 3 minutes.
  • Then, again add the raisins, shredded coconut to the pan and cook it for 2 minutes.
  • Then, moghat will be made.
  • Lastly, serve this moghat with shredded coconut.

Note: We have to stir all the ingredients continuously when cooking.

Sugar Free Moghat Recipe

Sugar free moghat is appropriate for weight loss dieters. This drink also helps to reduce weight quickly. So the recipe of this drink is-

  1. Moghat powder ( 4 tbsp )
  2. Ghee ( 5 tbsp )
  3. Hot water (1/2 cup )
  4. Hot cow milk ( 3 cups )
  5. Honey ( 5 tbsp or as your taste )
  6. Peanuts ( 50 gram )
  7. Sesame seeds ( 2 tbsp )
  8. Walnuts ( 25 gram )
  • Firstly, roast the peanuts and sesame seeds for 3 minutes.
  • Then, grind the roasted peanuts with a grinder.
  • Then, put the ghee, moghat powder in the pan and cook it for 2 minutes.
  • Then, add the hot water, hot cow milk , honey, ground peanuts to the pan and cook it for 3 minutes.
  • Then, again add the sesame seeds to the pan and cook it for 2 minutes.
  • Then, moghat will be made.
  • Lastly, serve this moghat with walnuts.

Note: We have to stir all the ingredients continuously when cooking.

Dairy Free Moghat Recipe

Dairy free moghat is appropriate for those who can not digest dairy products. So the recipe of this drink is-

  1. Moghat powder ( 4 tbsp )
  2. Ghee ( 5 tbsp )
  3. Hot water (1/2 cup )
  4. Hot almond milk ( 3 cups )
  5. Sugar or honey ( 4 tbsp or as your taste )
  6. Almond nuts ( 50 grams )
  7. Shredded coconut ( 4 tbsp )
  • Firstly, roast the almond nuts for 3 minutes.
  • Then, grind the roasted almond nuts with a grinder.
  • Then, put the ghee, moghat powder in the pan and cook it for 2 minutes.
  • Then, add the hot water, hot almond milk , sugar, ground almonds to the pan and cook it for 3 minutes.
  • Then, again add the shredded coconut to the pan and cook it for 2 minutes.
  • Then, moghat will be made.
  • Lastly, serve this moghat with shredded coconut.

Moghat Recipe Without Any Milk

The authentic Egyptian moghat is made in two ways- with milk and without milk. So the moghat recipe without milk is-

  1. Moghat powder ( 4 tbsp )
  2. Ghee ( 5 tbsp )
  3. Hot water ( 3.5 cups )
  4. Sugar or honey ( 4 tbsp or as your taste )
  5. Raisins ( 1 tbsp )
  6. Pistachio nuts ( 50 grams )
  7. Shredded coconut ( 4 tbsp )
  • Firstly, grind the pistachio with a grinder.
  • Then, put the ghee, moghat powder in the pan and cook it for 2 minutes.
  • Then, add the hot water, sugar to the pan and cook it for 3 minutes.
  • Then, again add the shredded coconut, raisins, ground pistachio to the pan and cook it for 2 minutes.
  • Then, moghat will be made.
  • Lastly, serve this moghat with pistachio.
