Jasha Maroo Recipe

Jasha Maroo is a famous Bhutanese cuisine. It is a Bhutanese chicken curry that is made with chicken, vegetables and spice. Bhutanese people eat this dish with plain rice. Besides the cooking process of this dish is very simple and Bhutanese people don’t use too much spice to make this dish. So the jasha maroo recipe is-

  1. Chicken breast pieces ( 10 )
  2. Garlic cloves ( 5 )
  3. Tomatoes ( 2 )
  4. Green onions ( 3 )
  5. Green chilies ( 4 )
  6. Red chili powder ( 1 tsp )
  7. Canola oil ( 1/2 cup )
  8. Water ( 4 cups )
  9. Salt ( 1 tsp or as your taste )
  • Firstly, cut the chicken into small pieces.
  • Then, cut the tomatoes, green onions and green chilies into small pieces.
  • Then, mince the garlic cloves.
  • Then, put the chicken pieces, water in the pan and cook it for 5 minutes.
  • Then, add the canola oil, minced garlic, red chili powder, green chili, salt to the pan and cook it for 7 minutes.
  • Then, again add the green onion to the pan and cook it for 3 minutes.
  • Lastly, serve this healthy and delicious jasha maroo with rice.

Vegan Jasha Maroo Recipe

Authentic jasha maroo is made with chicken but vegan dieters can not eat chicken. So we provided a vegan jasha maroo recipe for that reason they can eat this delicious dish.

  1. Button mushroom ( 350 grams )
  2. Garlic cloves ( 4 )
  3. Tomato ( 1 )
  4. Green onions ( 2 )
  5. Green chilies ( 3 )
  6. Red chili powder ( 1/2 tsp )
  7. Canola oil ( 1/3 cup )
  8. Water ( 3 cups )
  9. Salt ( 1/2 tsp or as your taste )
  • Firstly, cut the button mushrooms into small pieces.
  • Then, cut the tomato, green onions and green chilies into small pieces.
  • Then, mince the garlic cloves.
  • Then, put the button mushroom pieces, water in the pan and cook it for 5 minutes.
  • Then, add the canola oil, minced garlic, red chili powder, green chili, salt to the pan and cook it for 5 minutes.
  • Then, again add the green onion to the pan and cook it for 3 minutes.
  • Lastly, serve this delicious vegan jasha maroo with rice.
